"To be a bridge in the Kingdom uniting Christians, to reach communities for Jesus with the exploration of God's Word through Bible study, fellowship, food, and music."
What we believe:
THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the divinely inspired Word of God, and Jesus Christ to be the fulfillment of all scriptures (both Old and New Testaments). Since all scriptures point toward and reveal Jesus Christ, the study of God's Word is essential for growth of all Christians and the church body. The scriptures are designed for practical instruction. Through the presence of Christ our Savior and the power of the Holy Spirit, God's Word can transform us by renewing our minds, and empowering us to realize our true spiritual worship as living sacrifices for God. MSBF places great importance on the reading and teaching of the Word.
WORSHIP: MSBF strives to focus on the same things the early church did (breaking bread together in fellowship, praise, prayer, and the study of God's Word), knowing that these core values helped grow their faith and ready them for the Holy Spirit to move in powerful ways. Our goal is to help the body of Christ to grow in maturity, allowing the Holy Spirit to move freely and work whenever and however He desires, in keeping with scripture concerning order in worship.
We are non-denominational, and strive to offer a loving, welcoming atmosphere for anyone who walks through the door; therefore, we do not believe in trying to force or hinder the Spirit of God in a particular way. We focus on God's Word and the Word made flesh, and let Him take care of the rest.
FELLOWSHIP: We believe strongly in the power of fellowship. Jesus took time to listen and talk to people. He didn't just walk from town to town, preaching to the masses. He reclined at the tables of lepers and tax collectors, and took time to speak to men and women struggling with sin. These conversations impacted people in powerful ways, often leading to thousands of people accepting Christ because of their testimonies. Fellowship also allows people to form deep friendships, allowing for powerful prayer, encouragement, and accountability. Most MSBF sponsored activities, therefore, allow time for extended fellowship.
